Suitable for Independent school interviews in January & February.
Whilst the examination results are important, they form one part of a wider assessment process, which includes a current school report and, for many Independent schools, an interview. The interview process is designed to build a ‘rounded’ picture of a child. The interviewer wants to know what the child is like, their interests, motivations and ultimately to see if they are a good fit for the school.
Our aim is to help prepare Year 6 pupils for the interview by providing an authentic one-to-one experience with a member of our team. A range of questions will be asked that are based on current school interview topics. Feedback and advice will be given to the candidate during the mock interview session. We will offer tips for improvement as well as suggestions on making the very best impression. Schools are adept at spotting children who have been over prepared for the interview and it is therefore important that a child should come across as both enthusiastic and spontaneous. This is our goal!
Our mock interviews are held in the Bowdon Parish Centre.
